  1. As a Liverpool city cenre resident, I think The Mathew Street Festival should be banned. All people who live anywhere near any public outdoor event should also complain and have them all banned.

Such events can only lead to fun and socialising. We should all stay locked in our houses and forbid anything that encourages social interaction and the evil that is known as fun. Arrest all those involved and put them in a prison which is nowhere near where I live.

  2. It has been reported that only one person has objected to this farce. In reality that one person actually represents at least 120 plus people who are against this noise and disruption to OUR village. This event is happening over a two week period, not one, two or three days. At least 25 large vehicles over 5-6 days to erect and the same at the end.
If the councillors and tourism lived on the doorstep of this event maybe it would be a different matter. It is also reported the festival supports local charities, does this mean they will be giving money to the charities or is it only that they will allow the charities on site to do their own collecting?
If this festival is allowed to go ahead it will be the end of Thurstaston as it exists. It is our right to have peace in our own homes and not be dictated to by a minority just out to make money. Would you like this on your doorstep, 11 plus hours of ... it can't even be called music.
