The rules are simple: bring up to ten items of clothing, clean and in good condition of course, and discover if your trash could become another person’s treasure. The girls-only event comes complete with tea, wine, cakes, music, and a changing area.

With more than 40 stalls, this event will feature everything from 50s prom dresses to retro clutch bags. Chances are you’ll bag a gem at a far cheaper price than the high street.

Friday 22nd May - Graduate Fashion Catwalk
Art and Design Academy, Duckinfield Street, 5pm & 8pm
To kick off the Art and Design Degree show, grab your front row seats to this fashion event and witness the latest talent from our fashion course. Keep an eye out for our One to Watch, Danielle Morgan.

23rd - 29th May - Art and Design Degree Show 2009
Art and Desing Academy, Duckinfield Street, 10am - 4pm daily
For its first year, the new Art and Design Academy will play host to exhibiting all the students' work from Architecture, Fashion, Fine Art, Graphic Arts, Interior Design, Product Design and Textiles.

Saturday 23rd May - The New Village Fete
Heebie Jeebies 10am-4pm
Take a visit to this all-day event showcasing the work of new and local designers. Jewellery, crafts and vintage clothing will also be on display.

Saturday 30th May - Climate for Change Fashion Show
FACT
During the closing weekend of ‘Climate for Change,’ drop in to the fashion show and be wowed by designs which have been recycled and customised.

This year’s Graduate Fashion Week will feature 48 of the UK's top fashion and textile universities. With 23 shows shown over the four days, we’re yet to know if LJMU will be showcasing, but one thing’s for certain – you need to get your tickets booked soon.
