The singer was hosting a fashion walk in Sefton Park and encouraging people to show off their official Sport Relief t-shirts, which have been designed by the Beckham family. The t-shirts can be purchased from Sainsbury’s, TK Maxx and from the official Sport Relief website.

Tammy Render who works for TK Maxx, commented: “TK Maxx is
one of the official sponsors of Sport Relief so we want to promote
the merchandise and raise as much money as we can. The idea
of today is to promote Sport Relief and let everyone know that it’s
happening. Loads of people have turned up to see Liz so that’s
great.”

Although the turn-out for the walk was not as good as expected, the
star attracted much attention from walkers and even members of
the British Military Fitness club, who stopped to pose for a picture
with the singer.

Stephen Hack, 20, a student at Hope University, said: “I came along
to get involved. It’s for a great cause and I’m big on sport myself. It’s
really good that it’s being backed by a local celebrity here in
Liverpool too.”

Sport Relief will run from Friday 19th March to Sunday 21st March
with the whole of the UK being encouraged to get active, raise
cash and change the lives of poor and vulnerable people both in
the UK and across the world.

Liverpool is also taking part in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile, which is running on 21st March at venues across the region including one being hosted by Liverpool Students Union.
