Hazel Barrett

Hazel Barrett is a professional news broadcaster with more
than 25 years' experience in regional and national television,
print and radio. Before coming to Liverpool John Moores
University, she worked as a television journalist and presenter
for Granada Television for eleven years.

Prior to working in television, Hazel worked as a radio reporter
for BBC Radio London, Independent Radio News, Chiltern
Radio and the English language department of the Dutch
World Service in the Netherlands.

In addition, Hazel worked as a print reporter in London for
newspapers including the Evening Standard, Sunday Mirror
and Sunday People.

Her reporting career began on the regional county newspaper, The Middlesex Chronicle.
