Jackie Newton

Jackie has extensive experience as a staff journalist on a number of regional publications, and has also freelanced for national newspapers and magazines.

She spent a large section of her career at the Liverpool Daily Post and Echo, working as a designer, senior sub-editor, feature writer and features editor.

Her main teaching duties include leadership of the Introduction to Reporting, Writing Skills and Print Production modules, and she is also the Media School's disability co-ordinator.

A qualified lecturer, Jackie holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Psychology and is currently completing a Masters in Education.
