Professor Chris Frost Head of Journalism

Chris has been a newspaper journalist, editor and journalism educator for more than 30 years. He is chair of the NUJ’s Ethics Council a member of the NUJ’s National Executive Council and sits on the NUJ’s Professional Training Committee. He is a former President of the National Union of Journalists, a former member of the Press Council and a former National Chair of the Association of Journalism Educators. He has written four books on Journalism and a number of book chapters and academic papers >>

After graduating from Oxford, Steve began his career at the Winsford Guardian before moving to the Liverpool Post and Echo in 1986. His last role there was as Assistant Editor (Digital), responsible for running the papers’ websites. He joined the JMU Journalism staff in 2008 >>

Kate's background is newspapers and magazines. She lectures on practical modules and is part of the Journalism department's enterprise team which provides media training and summer schools and liaises with external clients requiring consultancy services >>

Glyn studied music at the Universities of Wales and Cambridge before joining the BBC in London, where he was a sub-editor on the Radio Times. He also worked for BBC Wales in Cardiff, producing music programmes for BBC Radio 3 >>

Rex leads the BA/MA International Relations/International Journalism courses. He received his PhD from the University of Sheffield and worked as an international journalist before joining the academic community. He has also published three books and a range of other publications >>

John lectures in Online Journalism and Sports Journalism, while specialising in delivering WOW Factor projects, such as the World Firefighters Games, and the launch of this website. He joined JMU after a long career at the BBC, and works as a freelance for FIFA and UEFA >>

Pryce Roberts
