Lindsay Lohan battles the darker side of high school in Mean Girls, while Zak Efron makes us all wish we went to his school in High School Musical
No girl should be without a copy of this film. Turned Lindsay Lohan into a household name and showed people all around the world how brutal it can be to be a girl.
2) Sex and the city
Not many of my friends at university are without their box set of the series so this big screen spin off was perfectly timed. You can’t beat watching it with a big bar of chocolate and a glass of wine!
3) Bridget Jones Diary
Every girls best friend purely because everybody can relate. Bridget has ups and downs, struggles with her weight and, like the rest of us, loves a drink.
4) Coyote Ugly
Amazing soundtrack, good looking girls and a bar. What’s not to like?
5) Any dance movie
It started with Save the Last Dance and most recently the Step Up series. Star crossed love, a hip hop beat and some very gorgeous lead men.
6) Never been kissed
Drew Barrymore stars as the awkward geeky Josie Geller
who is searching for true love and that first kiss. A nice
happy film with a happy ending. Lets you believe there
truly is the perfect man for everyone.
7) Devil Wears Prada
Taking the much loved book and turning it into a
brilliant movie starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
A bit like Ugly Betty but on a much grander scale.
Makes you see how hard it really is to work in the
fashion industry.
8) How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
A film showing how manipulative women can be,
especially when it’s for their job. Men beware! This film
makes girls laugh and makes men afraid of what happens
when they take a step into a relationship! Scary times!
9) Dirty Dancing
Patrcik Swayze saying "Nobody Puts Baby in a corner” and the ultimate drunken dancing soundtrack. You’ll have the time of your life, especially after one too many vinos
10) High School Musical
Many a girl’s shameful film (we all know most of you know the words!) but you can always hide the shame by claiming to be drooling over the lovely Zac Efron. It’s okay, he’s 21!
